Sponsor . what are you thinking first if you hear this word? money? event? EO? A royal company? Mmmm If you ask me, i'll answer that it is an EFFORT . How come?

So, it is about my last task. I was given a responsibility for sponsorship section in a workshop event. Actually it is not too big workshop, and we have had single main sponsor. But I have to responsible to look for additional income for my own organization . They also said that I could get 10% everytime if I get fresh money. Woooooo ! It was a new thing ! I am so enthusias !

After I edited and printed the proposal that was needed, I started to spread the proposal . Other reason also because I had short time before this event was held, about 3weeks left, so I had to hurry up . I started from PLN (Electricity power nation company), some of bank, tour agent, cafe&restaurant, and other companies . I did it alone (with one of my friend actually), I mean I was individual . I didn't look for 'connexion' before . I wanted to feel the real process . I thought that I could do that and I wanted to feel the hard work for getting a sponsorship. And the fact, I really really really hardwork without got anything *hufh

Yap ! I failed . Most of the company that I have applied proposal refused it . I didnt get fresh money, even just Rp 100.000,00 !!!! I just got voucher and discount for printing banner, mmt, kocard, just like 'joint logo' . It was totally embarassing .


I frustated actually, I embarassed. I couldnt give some good result from my effort for the event. U-S-E-L-E-S-S

But................... my senior told me that I should not to be sad. I must use it as valuable lesson in my next step . Process is more meaningful and more useful than a final result. Now I feel better and realize that my senior said is true . Experience is the best teacher, right? :)
